What it does

Photoroom handles the product-photo pipeline for sellers: background removal, retouching, and generative scene placement that puts a product into studio-quality settings — one image at a time or in batches of thousands.

The free plan watermarks exports and excludes commercial use, so real sellers start at Pro (about $7.50-8/mo annual, 500 batch exports). Max adds better models and Shopify publishing; Ultra tiers scale to 50,000 batch exports monthly.

The API is billed separately — roughly $0.02/image for background removal and $0.10 for AI editing — and generative features draw on an AI credit balance.
