How do I sell or license an AI-generated app?
An app on AXIS Launch is sold as an asset or licensed, exclusively or not; equity is never listed. The listing is anonymized: asking price, revenue and churn, deal type and verification badges, no names. Qualified bidders see the data room and bid; every deal closes through Escrow.com, with a success fee of 8% at close.
Three deal types: a full asset sale (code, brand, customer relationships, everything), an exclusive license, or a non-exclusive license. AI apps can separate the model or pipeline from the product built on it, so a seller can license the product and keep the model, or license it to more than one buyer for different markets.
A buyer applies for bidder access, is qualified under NDA, sees the full data room and submits a sealed bid. Bids above reserve are binding under the published auction rules. The success fee is 8% of the closing price, 7% above $250k and 6% above $1M, invoiced to the seller at close; there is no listing fee and buyers pay nothing to browse or bid.
After a winning bid or an accepted buy-it-now, both sides sign a letter of intent and then the purchase or license agreement, and an admin opens the Escrow.com transaction with a 7-day inspection period: the buyer funds escrow, the seller transfers the assets, and escrow releases once the buyer accepts or the window lapses. We never hold funds.
No auctions are live yet. The rules are published, and the steps above describe how a sale runs under them. Bidder applications aren't automated: a buyer applies by messaging Jonathan Arvay on LinkedIn, and each application is read by hand.
